🔥Hot Take 🔥: Is Earth’s “perfect” position really that fragile? Science says it’s not nearly so dramatic! 🌍⚖️
🎯 Reality Check: Sketchy 🚩
📝 Why: Earth’s orbit is already slightly elliptical, with distance from the Sun varying by about 3% every year; we survive just fine. A 10% shift would change received solar energy by about 19%, which would definitely impact the climate, but leading experts say Earth could remain habitable up to about 5% closer and 15% farther away (the “habitable zone” has fuzzy edges!). Catastrophic melting or freezing from a 10% move? Not supported by current science.
